We value the diversity at CoreCivic and we believe that our differences make us stronger and better equipped to deliver on our mission to better the public good.
We believe enhancing our attention to and actions in the company's diversity, equity and inclusion approach is the right thing to do for our employees, those in our care and our communities.
We work hard to attract, develop, and retain the best-qualified, most diverse group of employees we can find. But diversity is only part of the equation. We also want an equitable and inclusive culture that is accepting of differences and open to new ideas. We believe when we do this well, the evidence shows up in increased employee engagement and belongingness, better retention, innovative ideas and improvements in business outcomes.
We rely on input from our DEI Advisory Council comprised of a diverse group of employees from the field and headquarters. The Council's purpose is to advise, guide and recommend actions to the leaders of CoreCivic that support a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
Business Resource Groups
Our Business Resource Groups, or BRGs, are voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a more diverse and inclusive workplace. These groups are organized around a particular shared background, interest or issue and also rely on allyship to flourish.
All CoreCivic employees have the opportunity to participate in a BRG as a member or ally.
The Multicultural Business Resource Group supports the diversity dimensions of racial and ethics groups such as Afriacan-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders and Indigenouse people.
The Women Business Resource Group suports its female professionals at all stages of their careers, providing them the opportunity to develop skills to maximize their impact for the enterprise.
The Military Business Resource Group supports the recruitment, retention and success of current and former military service members and their families.
